Jelly? Not one bit, I don't like CS:GO at all and trading betas is, in my wholehearted opinion, plain stupid. They have no real value. Once a day comes, it is gone. It's like burning $20, in my opinion.
The "market", as you call it, is putting a totally ridiculous price on a good that is not supposed to be sold, fabricating value where there is none. I do understand people ARE stupid and will pay money for it, but tha doesn't make it right.
It's not my business to meddle in your deals, of course. But it is my business to point out all of the lucrative bastards in this trading system, including the likes of you that trade fabricated value in the form of betas or russian traders that drive down the actual value of games with their region-specific prices.
Sure, I can understand TRADING something you got for free, like that BETA, to someone that wants it for something they ALSO got for FREE (or extremely cheap... MAYBE...), if that is going to bring them any enjoyment. But asking for $20 is plain abusive.
Moral of the story: Don't put a dollar value on something that is worth zero dollars, because it was acquired for free and cost nothing to produce and that is MOST LIKELY going to end up as a F2P game anyway (ie: DOTA 2). If you want to part with CSGO for a game like Torchlight, do it on the basis of "MAN, both games are really cool! But I wouldn't mind parting with this beta invite if someone gave me that game to play myself!". There's a difference between making a fair trade where both parts are getting a product worth their investment and just plain profiteering from silly market values on goods that have no actual production value.

You are quite thick. The nature of CS:GO, DOTA and TF2 is not the same nature as L4D2 and Portal 2. The former are all competitive, and are conducive to free to play models, as seen in the real world market and game offers. L4D2 and Portal 2 are single player experiences with co-op additions at best, but the core of the game is not competition.
Different types of games use different market strategies, that is a fact of the industry we are in.

Point of the matter is: TL2 is an actual game. Something that will last indefinitely. CS:GO is a beta, and it is fleeting at best.
The value is by no means comparable. Not even in this crazy market.

BETAS ARE FREE. GAMES ARE NOT. He got FREE games that HAVE A WRITTEN, SET IN STONE VALUE, then the value of them is not arguable. They are worth "X dollars".
CS:GO is a BETA. Betas have NO retail value. They are not worth "X dollars", because there is no value set to them by the publisher, creator or distributor.
