So, here goes again. SCAMMER ALERT everyone!!!

The story, well, begins with desperation. I wanted something, did my homework, checked REP, checked SteamRep, checked other websites to confirm person is a trusted user of Steam, and after gathering enough evidence of their trustworthiness, traded Keys, to be sold and used to repurchase a Gift for me.

Low and behold, I get de-friended, and blocked and there goes my keys.

"Rafaelh9siX" is one of users Steam names. Seems he is offering games from the Brazilian Store, accepting smaller trades, and running when a bigger trade hits. When he scams you, he also changes his Steam name to 'Why So Easy?' to mock the person he scammed. Sound like a mock for all honest traders, don't you think?

My SteamRep Scam Report here

Here are his two identical threads previously opened on SteamTrades:

First - Closed soon after our scam trade.
Second - Closed after SteamTrades user asked him directly about this scam report.

Any additional info on this guy would be appreciated.

Report him in SteamRep with evidence (screenshots) - that is crucial.

Sadly, screenshots don't prove anything. Caught me offguard and closed the dam chat window before I realised what was happening.

Awaiting chat logs from them. I have sent that info to them, but thanks for the suggestion.

By the way, thanks for writing on his new thread. Guy has balls creating a replica thread and going through the same process two weeks after deleting his previous thread with same name.

That was great. More evidence that he is a scammer. He probably removed you from his friends list after. Lletskill, you are a star. Now he knows, that we know. If only others could pester him like this. Permission to add your steam screenshot to my SteamRep scam report?

Thanks man. I wish everyone who saw this thread could add him and send him our regards. Working on getting him banned from Dota2 at the moment, LOL! That should be fun if it pays off.

Free Bump.
Can you please share with us, his thread from where you picked him to do the trade ?? & also, which game was it ? It'd help a little I suppose.

His thread here was closed immediately after our trade and my additional comments were removed, so it didn't seem like I was inquiring about the trade or added him on Steam. The game I asked about was The Crew.

Calling all those who have been scammed.

Check this thread out.....

Seems Rafaelh9siX is back and cracking and doing legitimate trades with some of you kind SteamTrades folk. It seems that he will do a trade with you if it is small, but if it is a big one, he removes you from Steam after taking your keys, deletes the thread, and returns a few weeks later.

If any of you believe in the essence of being an honest trader, and this guy, scams you and changes his profile name to "Why So Easy?" after the scam, which is fuck you to all of us who use this medium for our enjoyment in an ernest way. To all the victims of such scams, please do pop into this mans thread and say HELLO in the only way you know how.

Thanks.

idk youer got scammed.what did you lost ?maybe tf2 keys.but what did you try to get from him ?

i see you only sent him 19 tf2 keys.so this is an evidence what you got scammed ?i dont think it is enough.

Permalink

Well I got nothing in return, just words and a disappearing act, as with all scams. I am still awaiting chat logs from Valve support, so we'll get there soon enough. To confirm, I traded 19 TF2 keys to him for a gift he would buy using the money he would gain from selling the keys, which never happened, as he blocked me instead. It may not be enough right now, but we'll get there soon enough.

well, he changed his steam profile link by changing the username associated with the url. it's now:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Rafaelh9siX
you should edit this into your first post. also, why don't everyone post negative reviews on his steamtrades profile?? that should be the very first thing to do to make sure he doesn't scam others. he can easily tell others to see all his positive comments on his steamtrades profile and keep on scamming. he cannot delete negative reviews from this site but he can control all +rep comments posted on his steam profile, so no use posting there. also, i got scammed some time ago, so i know how that feels... but 19 keys!! that's a lot. i got scammed by russian traders not so long ago via overpay but not quite as bad as you where you got absolutely nothing in return.

Thanks for all the info Drag0nb0rn and sorry to hear that you recently had to endure a scam yourself. Why would someone update there Unique ID URL like that? That's scammer behavior right there. I'm seeing the trends, and will add to SteamRep report later.

I get what your saying about him controlling his +Rep, but yeah, I believe he does do some small trades to get his rep up and waits for a trade that would benefit him more before scamming someone. Who knows, he may be using the cash generated from my keys as Steam Wallet credit to fund his Rep improvement. I don't think that adding negative Rep to his profile would help, because he would revenge rep the person who does it I reckon, which wouldn't be fair to anyone.

Permalink

yep, revenge rep is always a possibility but if everyone thinks like that, then scammers will never have bad rep which in turn makes the whole purpose of rep pointless. i hope you get my point :) although i'm not saying that you need to negative rep the scammer if you don't want to. but not leaving bad rep on a scammer's profile is just reason enough for the scammer to keep scamming.

Absolutely agree. If only everyone, took some time off from their trading, to do something like this, it would be great for everyone. It would protect the legitimate honest traders around here, but yeah, how do we protect the honest traders being accused of scamming. Its a tough thing I guess, but I believe those folks would at least have the decently to fight for their rep. Here I am accusing a guy of being a Scammer, but he appears to have done some legitimate trades before he scammed me. Its hard to find the line in this to be honest. Although I am capable of doing to much more to make this scammers life hell, something is holding me back. That's why I'm simply trying to warn others, so he finds his own karma.
