Dipshits like him are nothing new, but it is one of the first and most prominent experiences i have had with one of his kind. Hopefully someone will figure out how to take care of and fix dipshits like him, they litter and ruin society for other good decent people
So, you found a link where someone else said he was scammed by this guy and you still decided to trade with him? Not only that, but he had a key and you had an actual Steam Gift and you went first?
This is why scammers are able to get away with it, people just let them... To make your life easier, I would follow these steps:

Never trade "high value" games with people who have under 50 rep. It's not worth the risk when you are dealing with games worth $10 or more. There are many traders out there who can likely give you the same deal with way less risk.

Never go first with a Steam Gift vs. a key unless the other person has a ton of rep. Also, make sure the person you are talking to is the same profile as the rep page they might link you to.

Yea i know im not sorry for myself since i only lost a game which isnt worth much, i am trying to teach him, the scammer, a lesson by letting him know that everyone hates thieves who pretend to be all nice and shit, and then just turn around and turn into complete assholes. I want him to know that it isn't normal to steal and that it makes you look like a stupid ass monkey and simply just a bad person. I am more sorry for the world then i am for myself that there are people like this.
I, like many others here on steamtrades, was recently scammed by the user known as pongopie123, aka matrixjdogthegreat (steam profile: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198030607117) and martix128 (steamtrades profile: http://www.steamtrades.com/user/Matrix128). Him and i had the same amount of rep when i was trading a chivalry medieval warfare gift for his alleged copy of skyrim that he said had as a key. After i traded him the gift, he gave me a key, logged off, and left by saiying "enjoy". Before i even had the chance to try the key, he had already unfriended me. I then tried the key, and got an invalid message. I tried a few more times before deciding i had been scammed. Here is the chat log from that fateful day when user pongopie123, ruined himslef and his reputation:

Another fellow steamtrader, daryllaladice, whom i spoke with, has also been a victim of this vermin's disgusting, disgraceful behavior

Daryllaladice also told me that pongopie123 claimed that he scammed him because he was poor, which is a fucking stupid reply. Being poor does not give u the right to steal, and more importantly, a poor person does not need games whatsovever. So now we all know that we are dealing with a class-a dipshit.
If you youreslf are or have been a victim of scams like this or by this user himself, I encourage you to go to his profile, give him some bad rep, tell him to get his life together and become a decent person. Also post your own story of being scammed by specifically pongopie123. If you just want to teach him a lesson and haven't been scammed yet, give him bad rep, referncing to this post, and maybe even add him and give him a lecture on morals and decency.
THis user needs to be taught that it is not ok or normal to steal, and that doing so makes you into a stupid asshole that deserves no respect and will get nowhere in life.
Try to get the message to him so that he can grow up.
