I agree. There is no reason in this instance to provide proof of how much was paid. That said, the OP should only expect the game to be valued at the same price as everything that abused the bug in the Russian store regardless of what he paid.
Why did you buy the game at full retail as a gift if you had no plans to redeem it or prearranged plans to trade it? You would have had an easier time trading as Steam Wallet than an obscure title. No one here really cares if you paid USD$0.19 for the game and are trying to make a little profit, but your story is hard to believe and people don't like being lied to.
Edit: It's also suspicious to hide your backpack contents so people can't see whether or not you have 20 copies in there.
