a middle man is still not the best solution in key trades.

let's assume you're the scammer. you trade your tradeable copy to the middle man, the other guy gives you the key and you activate the key on an alt account and say that it does not work.
Now what is the middle man supposed to do? give you back your tradeable copy?

key trades are always critical.

anyway, thanks for the info, the guy sounds really suspicious.

normally there's no need to let the middle man see the key. one party could post it in a private message, take a screen shot, remove some characters and post this modified screenshot to the middle man.

I admit, that's a lot of steps, but it's a possibility.
