Don't have much experience with trading, but I'm pretty sure it is. Tags: Tradeable, and it's description says "Don't Starve Gift".
Then yeah, that's definitely a gift. For future reference, when people ask if something's a gift, they're usually trying to clarify between a game in your inventory ("gift," "tradable," etc) and a Steam key/code. Gifts are preferred because there's no risk of getting scammed as the trade can be done entirely within the trade window, and because then the person has the choice of either activating it themselves or re-trading the game, which is very difficult to do with a key because you can't confirm whether it's been used or not.
