nope, they are not. dota is a free beta access for a game that will be FREE. they send 2 copies to almost everyone who filled the survey. on the other hand, DLC is not a free, you have to pay to get it. this is real thing, right? money.
i dont say dota is not a game or something. i just say that if you want paid game, which is REAL, you have to offer me something real, not a worthless beta access. this is rest. i hope you understood well.
Time is money. Waiting for dota2 might take some time, and that time could be converted into money. Not sure if people still have to wait few weeks/months for DOTA2 access, but im assuming nothing have changed, but yet these people might also have friends who would like to join them, without that "waiting procedure" for their own copy of the game. So why not traiding a cheap DLC for a game to play it almost immediately (when hyped, etc).
Traiding DOTA2 for relatively cheap DLC (DLC! not even a FULL GAME!) isn't a sin, right? Why should i wait, when i can just...
That's why centauruses are still real, cuz that makes our lives easier and timeless (we can still feel their presence).
