check your inventory history, maybe there is still an entry about your trade
to be 100% sure, you have to buy the games yourself. usually buying from a trustable trader is enough, but sometime even he traded the game from somewhere. you could ask for a screenshot of the purchase, so you can make sure, that at least the trustable trader boguht the game you are trading for.
write a ticket to steam support about this matter, but usually, if you have traded outside of steam's trading system, you are screwed
Thanks, just checked history, 15tf keys for it.
I'll contact steam support about it, thanks for the suggestion! :D
if you had traded items for the game, send steam a ticket and they will completely give you back your items. if the trade was for your $$$ or say a cdkey, to his game, then your probably gonna lose out if the trader doesnt want to give you the $$$ back. thats the tricky thing about trading game gifts multiple times, eventually you lose track of who bought the game and risk it getting revoked, which is worse if its from an unprotected trade.
Just found out I paid 15Tf2 keys for it, using trade window. Let's hope I can get that back :)
Thanks for the help!
Saw this Reddit topic linked past week to a post with same-ish background, see if it helps you.

Great template for steam support as well.
You didn't get scammed because you trade in steam window. You got to play cod bo 2 for free, now you can get your tf2 keys back. Wait a few months and maybe you can trade the 15keys for cod bo 2 again. xD
I know I didn't get scammed :) And indeed, I hadn't touched the game for a month or so since I got bored of it after 20 hours haha
So in a way, this is a good thing :P
Hi. I am sorry your Steam gift was removed. This happens often with gift trades by many scammers. In this instance you should explain in the support ticket, how you received the gift game by trade, and you had traded 15 keys for it. An investigation will begin on the persons account and if found to be fraudulent can lead to their account being community banned, trade banned or even their account suspended. You should be able to get your keys back.
Please refer to the following Support Column for more information on gift removals:

Have a good day. :)
So, some time ago (I'm pretty sure it was during the summer sales) I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 from someone on steamtrades.
Now I just logged in to Steam and a message appeared, saying the gift (Call of Duty: Black Ops 2) has been removed due to payment issues.
(Link to picture: Click ) Text is in Dutch.
It shows a profile name but I'm almost 100% sure I got the game from a trusted seller on Steamtrades since I wanted to avoid new people scam me like how this happened.
I wanted to look at the date the game got added in my library so I could look on my profile rep to find the guy I traded with but it looks like everything from the game got removed from my account.
What I was wondering, what can I do about this? Any way to get my money (about €15 or more) back?
And how can I prevent this from happening in the future, since even trusted traders can have gifts that could get revoked.
EDIT: Found out I paid 15 TF2 keys for it, contacted Steam support to get them back somehow, will keep thread updated.
