dota 2 for just cause 2

Oh come on, you serious? with all those DOTA 2 giveaways you offer it for a 20$ game?

1 decade ago

well, you're talking about a key,and probabily you got it from a giveaway, because a lot of people are trading their just cause 2 keys.

How would I get it from a Giveaway if I already own the game? -__-

And even if I did, don't compare a game that had a small giveaway burst for a very short time and had thousands of entries each to a game that has huge giveaway burst for a week now which has less than a hundred entries each.

Oh, and alot of people trading it might be from the Am,amazon Bundle.

JC2 20$ game... Are you serious? If we go by that logic look how much is Dota in Steam Store. :D

First thing its only an early access and not the game itself. And second, the game is in hundreds giveaways with about 50 entries each, the game is basically free. Just cause had a very short and small giveaway boom because of t-he Amazon bundle but still the game had thousands of entries, not about 50.

Sure, 1:1 trade is not fair, but I think you overpriced your game a bit. Not in comparison to Dota, but in comparison to GTA:VC.

1 decade ago

Why? Just Cause 2 is equally compared to GTA4, so its like comparing GTA4 to GTAVC. and he also offered me this around the time GTA:VC was on sale for 2.5.

I bought Just Cause 2 on this site for 2 TF2 keys - that's equal to 2.5$, just like VC on sale.

Because you found a really good deal it lowers the value of the game for everyone? I was ones able to trade a 5$ game for 20$ game, that means this 5$ game worth 20$ for everyone now?

1) Again with your 20$ price tag. Full price of the game is 15$.

2) When people look to trade, they look if the game was on sale and for how much. Just Cause 2 was on sale numerous times for 3.75$, and that is the real value of the game.

3) Ofc, when you trade your games you should also take into account if your game was on sale also, and adjust accordingly. This is the reason you will never trade JC2 for Awesomenauts for example, even when Awesomenauts is cheaper.

4) Bundle games worth much less. JC2 was a bundle game, and that is the only reason I found a deal for 2 TF2 keys, otherwise 3 would be the best I would hope to find. Vessel is also 15$ like JC2, also was on 75% discount, but you could have purchase it for a dollar, so its worth is considerably lower.

5) In most cases game keys are worth slightly less than a gift for obvious reasons.

6) I have no problem finding another person from whom I will buy JC2 for 2 TF2 keys, game price is around that right now. That amazing Amazon bundle contained a lot more good games for 10 bucks, so people are still profitting selling it for that price. I was late to the party, so obviously I have to pay a little extra for the games, and it's ok, that is how things work. For example, I don't know how much you value other games from the package, but I bought Deus Ex + DLC for 4 TF2 keys, and Quantum Conundrum for 2 keys.

1) The sales and bundles don't actually affect the price, what affects it is the higher availability and offer which in turn lowers the overall worth, so its effects are only temporal as all the offers after the sale or bundle will lessen over time.

2) About the key thing, do you take me for an idiot? its just an approach used to discourage trading keys and ripping off those who provide legit keys. When trading with keys it doesn't effect the game there's only question of trustworthiness, you trust the trader or not, there's no in-between.

3)You got some real good trades? good for you, in trading there are only those who lose and those who gain, so your on the better side, means that you know your trade. And if you think I'm wrong, then how many times did you trade a game that worth more for a game that worth less?

1) Keep believing in that. It affects them because their high availability as you already mentioned yourself. Also you could got them much cheaper then retail prices, and people buy multiple copies for later trading and profit.

2) I'm not taking anyone as an idiot unless he proves to be one himself, so you are safe (for now). :) Yes, trustworthiness is exactly why their price is SLIGHTLY lower. If you buy for yourself, ok, if you buy for further retrading, then it gets a little hairy.

3) Those trades were fair for both side, win-win. I got a game for cheap, but he got it earlier for much cheaper price. He payed 10$ for 8 games, and sold 2 of them for 5$. Profitable as hell. :)

1) Buying and selling the later follows the logic I presented, Because why would they sell it later? because by that time the game price would recover from the sale or bundle so theyt can make more profit from it, and even when they sell it later the worth won't go down by much, because all who bought the copies won't suddenly sell all of them at the same time and if there is an abnormal rise in the offers then other won't offer anymore then usual and wait for the right time (tho of course they won't years for it because the demand and the initial price will decrease and so there won't be profit)

2) As I said its a gimmick used to make more profit from flaws, but a person who actually knows his trade won't lower his price for that, tho of course if you meet at trader of the same level there is bound to be some haggaling, so in the end its a question persuasion.

3) there is two types of trading purpose, profit and goods acquirement. What I was talking about was profit trading. So of course its a different story when a person just wants something specific and doesn't care to use what he already has for profit or not. I for example, didn't ask for something specific, I just wanted a game, so obviously I would try to get a game as expansive as possible of my liking so when I'll be buying a game I'll have the more expensive choices covered, Indirect profit.

Agreeing with you, but still, your comment "its like trading Battlefield 3 for Call of Duty 3" doesn't have a valid point, you have to give me that. :)

1 decade ago
Permalink

Well, in that comparison I didn't try to compare the worth of the game but the game itself. So I gave a Battlefield 3 vs Call of Duty 3, because like Just Cause 2 vs GTA:VC, its trading a newer version for the older version of of almost identical games (which is why they can be compared).

And yes, I know that Just Cause and GTA are not as much identical as BF and COD, I was just abit extreme on it.

And find me another person who wills to trade Just Cause 2 for 2.5$ in games or items and I'll take everything I said back.

A fair trade would be Just Cause 1 for GTA:VC.

And now that I look, for some very weird reason I already own it, I don't even remember trying to play it.

GTA VC for just cause 2 ?

1 decade ago

I would consider GTA4. But really? GTA VC? its like trading Battlefield 3 for Call of Duty 3.

1 decade ago
Permalink

yes but game is tredable you is key :)

1 decade ago
Permalink

So? does a key lowers the quality of the game? And if you talk about trustworthiness does it mean that if you onmly give me GTA VC then I can give you a fake key? works for me.
