I think you shouldn't freak out, That's very normal and Steam inventories are very buggy these days.. Give it some time and if it doesn't return send Steam support a ticket explaining your situation. :)
Okay..
But just in case the gift was revoked, since I got it by trading, would Steam let me know with a Warning or an email mentioning a gift was revoked, right??
Of course, And gifts don't get revoked. So don't worry, I was facing the same bug 2 days ago :)
If was illegally purchased, you should definitely receive an email stating that (the action and the reason for it), no reason to worry.
fraud purchase can be removed without notification. if u activate it then u get a msg that game has been revoked.
I can confirm that the gift was a fraudulent purchase and has been revoked. 2 guys also got their games revoked from library who made trade with the same guy, who made trade with another guy with a dummy account[2 games in library].
And steam did not send me any email
yeah steam only sends whenit is added 2 ur library, i dont know y it is disappeared from inventory.
Don't worry, I was also scammed. I got dayZ from somebody for 13 keys. but, It was removed from my library without any obvious reason. When I contacted steam support, they told me it was purchased using fraudulent card and told me that I will get the items which I traded in return for DayZ will be restored. My keys were back next day. So, If you have traded then no worry. But, IF SOMEBODY GIFTED YOU GAME FIRST AND ASKED YOU TO PAY KEYS IN TRADE, then you are in deep shit.
It was all done in the official steam trade window..
BTW, how much time did they take to give items back?
steam support took 6 days for reply and keys were back in my inventory after 1 day. I think they were busy during christmas sale, that's why they took so long for reply.
i got 2 x dayz and traded for keys and people told me they r disappeared from inventory. so in this case steam returns keys to me or the buyer.
During Steam TRADE WINDOW, If the stuff traded by one guy is fraudulently purchased and removed from second guy's account, then the second guy will get the items return whatever was in trade window.
so the buyer traded from me and i traded from scammer. so steam gives wat buyer traded me or scammer?
yes...the scammer will be automatically trade ban..i got dayz from scammer and i traded it to another friend of mine..but after it was removed i observed that the scammers account was automatically trade banned, even i hadn't messaged steam support. however my account wasn't banned.
so after it removed from ur friend accnt u reported or ur friend ? to whom they give keys?
So in my inventory, I should have 3 DayZs, but there are only 2. I dont remember trading it to anybody and I checked History and everything and it seems fine to me and indicate I should have 3 copies.
So, in case the gift was revoked, wouldn't Steam let me know via an email or a warning or something??
Has anyone experienced this problem before?
What should I do?
