As the game still is run via Uplay, even if bought on Steam, i would say yes.
I'm willing to give it to you first, to see if it works.

Good News is I found out that this code can be activated on Uplay directly even with a Steam copy of the game.
Bad News is thru a little digging I realized you're trying to trade something that is given for free to anyone still today.. nice try.
