Well, to start with it's a good thing you've traded/sent gift and not a Steam key, since there will be trace of it left on Steam. Have you gifted it or sent via trade offer? Either way, I don't think you will be able to retrieve your game back. Nevertheless, you should leave a ticket on Steam support in case you sent it as a gift or one-sided trade offer (you put a gift in it, but the other person put nothing). Try to write something convincing and dumb enough (because, honestly, Steam tends to add new safety measures for people who blindly enter their account info on fishy sites and act without care). For example, you may say that you've sent it by accident because that guy pretended to be from Steam support and asked you to send him your gift for confirming that it was purchased legally, or that you though you are sending it to someone else, but it was that guy (in other words, he impersonated your friend). So, shortly, your ticket should be dumb enough to convince support that you've did it by your own foolishness, and then they may retrieve your gift. Also, you have to make screenshots of that trade offer or gift sent to be able to provide Support with it.

Well, Dark Souls was bundled once as a 3rd tier, while Torchlight II was bundled several times way cheaper, so that wouldn't a fair exchange for me. I can trade it for 3 keys though as stated if you are willing to.

Well, once game gets bundled it's hard to value it by original price. Some titles which cost 30$ may get bundled for around 25 cents, while games which cost 5$ may be 1$ in a bundle.
