Bumping SteamRep won't help much, I had to wait 2 years for them to change from Pending to Evidence Provided.
My impersonator was in the end marked, but because of other report.
That really sucks, man.
The most annoying thing is that the only thing peaople take care of is the number of positive feedback. They're too lazy to click "Visit Steam Profile" button, or just do the simple math (my impersonator has 3 games on his account, I have over 200 wins on SG. Seems legit as hell). Then - like the last guy - they leave negative feedback, like it's my damn fault (even if I explained them what is going on).
Yeah it sucks, I missed good amount of trades because people just read my -rep.
2 years ago I added and explained what was going on to people who gave me -rep, and they removed it. Only 2 idiots left it, one who doesn't want to add me at all and talk to me, and second guy who said he will remove -rep when he gets his keys back (so never -.-).
And yes that second guy blamed me too.
In your post you could also suggest people to download enhanced steam if they intend to trade, so they can check someone's steamrep and steamgifts from their steam profile.
Is it possible? I don't use Enhanced Steam, so I didn't know.
That could help, but people would have to click on active trades list, so they could read my warning. Which they don't do, because I have it since the middle of december, and at least five people got scammed during that time.
It is useful to double check someone's reps. If potential traders read this warning they could get enhanced steam and prevent potential future scams from your impersonator.
I can't believe I fell for this ... almost down-repped you from the link on his Steam page. Thanks for warning others, dude, if I had done a bit more research I wouldn't have been played like a damn fiddle. :(
It nearly happens to me with BRAsileirinhosGamers. Thanks God I checked the right steam profile 1 day ago. But I feel bad for you.

Actually a BRAsileirinhosGamers got me too. Steam was down for a few minutes and when I got back to him, I was told I had never sent him a gift link. Turns out it was another impersonator. D:

Aah, serves me right for not being moer careful. I never traded keys before XD. I expected two games from my wishlist but oh well, I didn't lose much.
