I'm surprised at this. Luckily I haven't done a trade with them even though there were opportunities but declined their offer and I am thinking of blocking them. Also sorry for your loss.

Indeed I wonder why the change they were doing fine. This is why I don't accept keys anymore only tradables. Already made a rookie mistake of giving my Dirt 3 key to the person who scammed me because I though I would have Assasin's Creed Brotherhood. I was fumed heck I still am.

EDIT: took some time but found the guy that scammed me was named Peter The Petermelter. Looks like the guy tried making a second account but that also got trade banned. lol totally deserves it scammer.

that's why you always get keys first no matter how good a dude's rep is.

Sigh looks like I unfriended and blocked an innocent trader. Sorry Blinkdog. I'll state this again. DON'T TRADE WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE PRIVATE PROFILES. (I'm not yelling).

what if its both him ? as in he owns both accounts ?

he would need to have the other blinkdog added (which we doesn't) or he would need a third connecting account which would be just too much -.-

Rather unlikely since each account has different numbers. you may name your account with the person's name but when you get it checked on steamrep it shows up differently. As far as I know.

Highly unprobable. Why risk the rep on your main account by having a similar account to scam people? It's not the first time a scammer passes himself as someone else to use that person's reputation.

Also to the OP since you know the that the real Blinkdog didn't do it how come the negative rep you gave them is still there.

Removed it for the time being.

If you go on Blinkdog's Steamtrade profile and you click on View Steam Profile you will realize that this isn't the same individual who you traded with. We've seen a few of those lately. Scammers change their name, id and avatar to look like some respected member of the community and provides links to the real persons rep.

If someone gives you a link to their rep, click on the View Steam Profile link to make sure it's the same person that you're dealing with. Best way to avoid nasty surprises. I just hope the 2 persons who have given false neg to him will remove them.
