Nope it is a DRM free copy from GOG.com only. It means you can put it on all your computers without dealing with dumb activations or issues. You can add it as a non-steam game and still use the Steam Overlay while playing.

Also, apart from no DRM, all of the fantastic extras that GOG provides...that alone is worth going te GOG route...
