I'm leaving the whole story below so others can learn from it, but the actual owner of this account contacted me and while he couldn't exactly fix my scammed trade, he was helpful and told me ways to be more aware in the future.

Made first trade ever with this person, ended poorly. I don't have my end of the trade. I don't know exactly the mechanics of trading much yet and I was told we'd have to gift the trades to each other. Okay, I thought, so I send my gift to him, he doesn't send me my end back. I wait for it for 10 minutes then he pops offline.Still new so I didn't exactly document much but I have the chat log. Now you've got another little -rep hanging on here. Hopefully other new traders will read this before trading with him.

Very much don't recommend to new traders, he seems pleasant enough but will exploit you.
