the problem lies therein that most are easygoing and don't check or know that names on steam can be edited at will. names on steamtrades only every 3 months or so but that is irrelevant best to always check their real steam ID it would show up in the steam application (not browser) or alternatively looking them up here https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561197962850197

as for steamtrades - checking their profile > "visit steam profile" to know its them you're talking to - since steam is too lenient and steamtrades can't do squat - the only fix is for users to check themselves. thanks for the info, if you could delete the +rep later that would be nice- reported them as well but its pointless, steam intervenes when they've racked up reports in the hundreds.
