You should modify your thread, warning others for the scam. Also report the scammer on steam for harrasment and fraud
no problem. I wish someone warned me as well. I am awaiting for the community to downvote an obvious -REP in my account now and I follow both the scammer and scammed just for safety reasons. Wasting my very little free time for a thief! If that dont work out well I am willing to leave the community and stop trading period.
I believe you are now free of scam. Please keep checking his page so that we inform others that they are about to be scammed. Also make sure you report his steam profile, and advice anyone you know to do so as well. It is a matter of a healthy community. Lets kick him out. Thanks
Thanks again. I got quite a few people to report him and will leave the warning on here. He should be banned already, it's crazy he's been doing this for a while it seems.
Its ok he moved to another account for now! You can re-open your store. Is there something (beyond reporting) to do in order to protect our accounts and rep's? Sorry for botherng you but it caused me great stress since it was the first time I was impersonated and -rep'ed (unfairly)
I didn't trade much so I'll leave it closed thanks. I prefer using barter.vg or reddit for occasional trades anyway. For what he's doing there's nothing we can do except report him for impersonating and ask as many other people to do the same so it reaches enough of a critical mass for Valve to trade ban or close his account. Steamrep.com already investigated and labelled him a scammer ages ago. Thanks again for the heads up. Take care.
