I usually do it from memory but when I need to be sure I check steamgifts. Each new bundle features a table that shows how many times a game has been bundled. I'm sure there are other ways to find out this information but I've grown accustomed to the site over the years.
As for how I calculate value, while there are objective ways to sum up the value of my wares subjectivity also plays an important part. You'll learn all this stuff in time just by using this site. The most important advice I can give you as a newcomer is to ALWAYS double-check the person you are dealing with. There are a lot of scammers/impersonators around these parts looking for an easy score. Have fun! :)
