I remember once, when I first joined ST, I had an inventory gift for Skyrim GOTY. The high rep user you linked offered 4 keys despite my having it listed as 8. I had almost no trade rep at that time and I guess he thought he would try to steamroll me. He then proceeded to act like I was wrong for wanting 8 keys. Fun fact: at that very moment, he had a copy of the same game listed for 8 keys on his own trade thread. So, I always take that user with a grain of salt. Especially now given the hyperbolic state of a lot of resellers presently.

I always vote to remove rep that has nothing to do with an actual trade. I don't really care who is involved under those circumstances.
I personally don't care if you profit. Like you say, technically all trading us reselling, although we might have to add re-reseller monikker for resellers going for cash instead of other game. However, I do care when you act indignant at not being able to make a profit off of someone. Especially when you were charging what I was asking, for the same game, at the same time.
Oh, and regarding what games cost at any given moment, the fact that a game is on sale when a person is wanting to trade for it doesn't mean that's what the person who has it paid for it. That isn't a good assumption to make.

ATM, TF2 or CSGO keys are really the most useful and practical for me. If you had something from my want list like Caves of Qud, My Time at Portia, or something similar, that would work since that's what the keys will end up buying at some point anyway, but otherwise, it would have to be keys.
