If a person gives you a steamtrades rep link, make sure you click on "View Steam Profile" and make sure it matches the one you are talking to. Private profiles are a BIG NO-NO and double check their profile on steamrep and make sure custom URLs match. If a person gives you a link, but the person you are talking to has a private profile, then you are just ignorant.

Don't be lazy, check steamrep.com.

If a person gives you a key from a game with a high price tag ($50-$60) for your smaller, indie tradables (Ex: Amnesia, Trine 2, etc) DON'T DO IT. Keys are never your friend in trading. MOST keys, not all, are either scams, are from indie bundles that were cheaper than what the person is bargaining for, or are from ireputable sources.

Look at steamID64 and steamrepURL to make sure they match as well like this

Unfortunately for you. There are no mods right now so there is very little chance of your negative rep being removed anytime soon.

I feel really bad for you. Your impersonator (Henceforth referred to as Asshat McShit) added me on steam, and I instantly blocked him. In case anyone cares, Asshat McShit's username is SzetO.o. Mr McShit added the period. So use Steamrep, and make sure you spell the name right. And don't even consider trading with someone who has all their stuff hidden. (As Asshat did.) And if you have the slightest bit of rep when the other person has none, make them go first. They should do so anyway out of recognition of the fact that they're new. If they refuse, they're probably either a tool, or an Asshat McShit. Anyway, good luck man. I hope that those people will realize it wasn't you and remove their comments.
