So please, respect it.
Most of us title our threads with " Have: xxx Want: xxx". You did Want: xx Have: xx. So when most of us who are used to trading here skim the thread titles, we consider games on the left to be have and games on the right to be want. The person just thought you had Ace of spades and was making you an offer. So no worries, they aren't advertising another thread. I even thought for a second till I double checked, you had ftl/don't starve.
I'm not worried, I'm just tired of responding only to people with offers that don't interest me, that's all. It really doesn't seem that hard to spend a second or two more to read my topic properly, then people would know what I'm offering. Also, I thought that if there might be anything else that could interest me besides things I have stated in my topic, I am supposed to put "offers" to my "wanted" list. And since I'm not, I haven't put it in there. It'd be kind of nice if people would actually respect it...
Yeah it does get tiresome getting the random offers. Mostly put (Not accepting random offers or ONLY looking for want list) However, that wont stop it from happening all the time.
Yeah, well, it's not really a big deal, I think I can live with it... Still, thanks for kind and calm words, it's not really something that I'm used to expect on the internet.
Hehe np, it can be a rarity online. This trade community is actually rather friendly, not everyone but a majority are. Rude, mean or bothersome traders tend to get -rep and called out on it. Sadly even some (who have over 10 -rep for that) don't always learn. One big thing, if you are going to hold out for those games, just be ready for it to take time. My suggestion (though no reason to follow it) would be to open up for random offers (tradables only) and keep an eye out for cheap or decent tradables that might make, getting what you want easier. Trading isn't always about getting what you want on the first trade ;) Sometimes you even get a better offer and end up with what you want hehe. Also remember, you don't have to accept anything or even reply if you decide not to. ;) best of luck!
It's almost unbelievable how my day can suddenly become a lot better, isn't it? As of your advice, I'm probably just gonna wait (and eventually end up buying these games for myself and giving away ones that I have), I don't think I have the so-called "business aptitude" to feel worthy trying to fiddle around with it. Nevertheless, I'm still really glad that you decided to write here, I truly appreciate it. Thank you.
Np. Glad your day has turned around. But I wouldn't give up on trading, check some threads and see what games they aren't accepting, if a lot of people aren't accepting the same ones, generally, those games were given away free or in some insane promotion where they are barely worth anything Or say heck with it! if you think you will give your keys away for free, why not accept almost any trade that comes your way for them? worse comes to worse you get some games to add to your library ;)
