You better define a custom URL, so you are "recognizabler" xD

Better?

No, I meant on Steam. Edit your profile, there you can define a custom URL, so you can access your steam profile like mine: http://www.steamcommunity.com/id/timmer instead of .../profiles/765611979... ;)

^This. Claiming a custom URL helps identify you. An impersonator can use a similar URL, but never the exact same one you're using.

This does not count as a second topic. You can have this plus two trade threads if you desire.

This happens a lot more often than you think... For all of the high rep traders, there are at least twice as many impersonators. You take no responsibility for people who do that to you. Educating people about how to check for an avoid imposters in general, is a better idea than warning people about one specific person.

There are only a few rules to follow to avoid them... 1. In 99.999% of cases, never trade with someone with a private profile. 2. Check that the IDs match, between the one they are talking to you with, and the one that is linked to the steamtrades account. 3. And finally, you can pop their ID into steamrep if you are still unsure. But just know, a majority of scammers are clean on steamrep, so take a clean rating with a grain of salt.
