"Trading a better experience" .. It will just make people new to trading be scammed way more easily..... Since I have a lot of rep, it's not so much a problem and i know people i trust but still... Only reason to do that is cause Valve wants more money.
That sucks, will have to find trustable traders who accept paypal/big amounts of TF2 keys..
Finding trustworthy traders wont be hard, but it absolutely hurts new traders.
Theres going to be a lot of cases of people paying first for a gift and then not getting the gift as gifting is the only way to transfer the game before 30 days.
yea steam is just digging a grave for themselves with this, also many traders may leave trading, many people will stop buying games, since they wont be able to get them cheaper and that will just hurt sales for steam, worst decision ever.
Brace yourself for incoming trade scams.
Good thing I already have trusted traders. Sad for new ones, though.
You're sure this isn't Valve's "Early Access" release of "April's Fool"? /sarcasm
On a serious note, I have a feeling that this idiotic decision will have severe repercussions (more scams, sales drop..etc).
Steam may very well be the world's most popular gaming platform but sometimes I feel it's being run by a bunch of morons..
I dont think theres any doubts its run by morons. This is clearly obvious if anyone has EVER had to deal with Steam support. Stupid decisions like this under the guise of "making it better" when its really just about Valve pocketing more money. Its only going to increase scams and makes it harder for new traders to get into the game.
I would say it's going to completely ruin trading but most people trade crappy bundle games and act like they're worth gold, na your little bundle game is worth .20 cents. lol
We've made this change to make trading gifts a better experience for Gaben's wallet.

"All new games purchased as a gift and placed in the purchaser's inventory will be untradable for 30 days. The gift may still be gifted at any time. The only change is to trading.
We've made this change to make trading gifts a better experience for those receiving the gifts. We're hoping this lowers the number of people who trade for a game only to have the game revoked later due to issues with the purchaser's payment method."
