Thanks cg 4 doing smth finally.
Very important question is about scammers and totall 0 security to registration here. Is in plan add some registration req as is on SG? Honestly "u need steam lvl 1 to register acc here" isnt any security. Scammers can make new accounts over and over and recently here was problem with abusing vote system... coz literally free access. I think re-type lvl 1 to 10 for example and add $100/200 "CV" cant be that hard. As its on SG.
Blacklist would be very good feature too.... to set ignore on pathetics spammers or any reason for anyone
Also some moderation of ST come? Total anarchy here and total ignorance of terms. If yes for dear god please dont make any trader as mod (or any users whois friend with some trader) coz i can make bet with u over $100 they will use it for their own good here and no real moderation.
I think i talking by voice of all traders (at least active traders) who want to know how it is here. Thanks and sry 4 my english its not good to explain
ST need SERIOUSLY some care... please
See ya in future update (we hope, your ST users) Thanks agin
+1 to everything he said, except moderation...There's no need of moderation as the members of the community are pretty sane and good, and they judge the comments accordingly..
Problem, like he said, is about BOT / new users army who clear owners negative reps, yet make others permanent (like happened to my and couple fellow traders, who got f***ed by one person)
+1 Moderation is all we need.
EDIT: It's not only about the scammers but also some of the toxic people in the community who do not follow the guide lines.
+1, thanks for reminding it here, we really need help with scammers and rule breakers, I as well think we need couple moderators to over look some reviews, not all as community system somewhat works :D
+1 - this.!
have sent them a support ticket about this too, but I got no reply.
-1, I joined when I had a few games on my account and had 4 or 5 levels on Steam. Not going first vs low reputation people is more than enough to not get scammed.
It's allright for SG to have more barriers to pass, but for ST - it's a trading site, not 'who has good account' one.
I disagree with CV req. I'm all up for additional requirements, but that is a pretty bad one imo.
Strongly agree with everything else.
Thank you cg
we looking forward for more updates as you do in steamgifts
have a nice day
please, make that threads not being responded or bumped by the creater close it self in 3 days.
there's some old that threads that people keep bumping but the the creators don't respond in years (people can't see that. Why god, why)
blacklist is a good feature also, like the othe guy said.

But worst of all is how much space the deleted comments are taking, man. Look at all those unsightly deleted comments. Get them outta here.
Really, if there was a change made to deleting comments I wouldve thought the feature would be disabled, not encouraged. Other than the fact that this is mostly used when some guy is ashamed of the lowball he just made, now permalinks to comments used as proof (where previously them being deleted or edited would show that) are now useless.
copy/paste comments when you reply to them. That way you still retain the evidence for your own records.
Active and high repped traders posting PSA's and being looked on as helpful community members despite their relentless sharking attempts.
Cool.
i have closed it, its better than wasting time bumping it
please make a new one, maybe re-sellers are able to make better ones
Hmm...so you closed it because one guy's offensive comment?
What about the appreciations of many others?
You forgot people giving "+rep" because someone gifted them a game. Can't believe that +85 people, including high rep traders fell for that. Thats so stupid. (Sorry for bad English).
that guy already have some reps before
he profile looks trustworthy
giving away good games ( not free ) most of them are from hb
he was able to get the same rep i he was selling them for 1 trading card
he was able to get the same rep i he was selling them for 1 trading card
Point.
Even Though I think it will be better if we include in reputation that the rep that the feedback is for giving away a game.
So many points. Doesn't that mean you're literate? (You know what I mean here) You're just jealous of people ain't you? Posting PSA had helped many people here. Pretty sure you lowball too and none of them are accepted which makes you more jealous.
Good changes, would be great if the community would stop abusing the reputation system. I am seeing multiple accounts targeting individuals leaving negative rep and voting to allow brainless reviews. Also there are users here using multiple accounts (100+) to remove negative reviews on their personal accounts. Please try to implement some way to reduce this, perhaps ip account restrictions, this behavior is unacceptable and users need to be banned from these forums.
I wish there was finally an option to change the nickname (once a year too, of course) like on SG...
When an user don't close his offer after a week of inactivity that should be automatically close the offer. It's tiring to research a game and get many users with a huge amount of time of inactivity.
I don't see any issues with the week inactivity. Isn't like he can't reactivate it again.
It's a website that favors spontaneous exchange. I see no point in keeping an open offer if the user isn't there.
I see, i thought you say deleted the thread but, A week its too fast. Cuz people have work on real world and can be very busy. If they thread closed, somebody can't see they thread again and there will be problem.
Maybe or maybe not. This is a good argument indeed.
It's even not worth for the user or for us; when he will reply the value of games will change and the offer at the "T" moment will not be balanced and we might find the game that we want with another trader.
The game value change constantly.
I think that matter of the person want to trade or not, because its not fitting here somehow.
Lot of trader need real world(Work/Vacation/Familytime/Else) somehow, and not just sitting here do trade for all day
Hi, could you please add new function that can delete other's comments in ourselves trades? Or can block someone in our trades?
There be someone continued harass us...only because we -rep to him :(
And I find a bug:
If someone change -rep to +rep before the -rep vote rise to 60%, but after vote colsed, he change it back. The -rep will not be able to vote for remove or not again.
Like this: https://www.steamtrades.com/user/76561198264362271#vHd2h
He -rep to me just because I -rep to him, and after I told others about our story to let them judge and vote.
The rating would up to 60% soon. He found this so he change -rep to +rep suddenly to made them can't vote to remove.
And 1 month gone, he change it to -rep again, but now the vote is end, others can't vote, can you help me removed it or open vote again?
Or...could you please accept my friend request to consult?
Hey everyone,
There have been a couple of changes to SteamTrades today. To start, previously deleted comments have been permanently removed. Similar to to before, you can still undelete comments, but now, that option is only available for 5 minutes. After that time, the comment author and description will be permanently deleted.
If there are no replies to the comment, then it will be removed from our database and it will no longer be visible in the corresponding trade. If there are replies to the comment, then the empty comment will remain in the trade for as long as those replies exist.Secondly, you can now permanently delete your trades. When you view one of your trades, you'll see a new button called "Delete" in the dropdown menu, located next to the right of the trade title. When you click that button, you will see a popup to confirm the deletion. After choosing to delete the trade, it will be permanently removed from our database, along with any of the corresponding comments.I hope you enjoy the changes, and the extra control they provide for your trades and comments.
Edit: There have been a few revisions today. The option to delete entire trades has been removed, as I've heard concerns that it gives users too much control by removing comments from other users. Secondly, although comments are permanently deleted after 5 minutes, the empty comments will now always remain visible, in case users are linking to them using permalinks.
