immature analogy? What you post is hardly logic. "Ripping off" is more complex. If someone posts such an offer (HL2 -> Skyrim) without knowing he offers crap deals, then he ofc isn't really ripping anyone. He just doesn't know it better. By ripping off I mean doing it on purpose. And sadly these days most rippers are experienced traders who just abuse the whole trading market. And as far as betas are concerned, I am against them being tradeable, but anyway, they have a certain value, and if they're traded at that value it's okay, but if the same ripping off applies, then I'd neg-rep those guys too. But you see, I have better things to do than lurking around on these forums all day.

"I am against them being tradeable". Read. Also I was talking about the betas in specific. They actually are free too, but they can't be obtained by everyone by just "having" them. That is the difference that gives the betas a value.
It's okay because I can't do anything against it. It was stupid from Valve to introduce them (not economically, but morally), but the "free market" values them at certain prices, so I have to accept that.
Read this before you think it's right to just dish out negative reps for reasons you gave like disagreements, "ripping off", trading betas, over valuing games.
