Also, I have had a number of people message me on steam saying that they have been scammed my someone with the same name as me. They are who I got the details of his account from. It seems that they understand it wasn't me, why can't you?

As I have previously said, the impersonator can change the link to his profile. You see that link provided in the thread? Well that was taken from the screenshot of his profile.
