Hello.
I'm not a trader, I just make the odd one here and there when there is something I need. I Don't have rep on this site, because I do not trade seriously, However I am an honest person and I do not swindle or Scam.

I recently added this user
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198081745087
in reply to his post here
http://www.steamtrades.com/user/GHOSTEer

We agreed on trading TF2 keys for CoD: Ghosts, as he claimed to have multiple copies that came free with some graphics cards, which meant they were Serial Keys, and not Tradeable Items.

I'm not normally one to strike such stupid deals, But based on his positive feedback on the profile here (http://www.steamtrades.com/user/GHOSTEer) I decided he could be trusted.

I was wrong. Here is an image capture of what happened.

The I waited a short time to make sure it was not just an internet disconnect or powercut, and then left the negative feedback.

I am not asking for your assistance with this, I know this was my own stupid fault, and I will now know that this website isn't suitable to be trusted for steam trader rep.

However, The user then had the audacity to leave feedback on my own profile stating that I had tried to scam him(http://gyazo.com/32c2114d02deaf474c4341d069330e0c), which is not the case. This person took 14 TF2 keys from me and gave nothing in return. He is a liar and a Fraud.
Here is the screen shot of my trade history to show this is the case.

The reason for my post are

  • To expose this user as a Scammer, and to raise awareness that Reputation is not always a reliable source.
  • To seek advice on who I can contact to have the negative feedback removed from my Steamtrades Profile. As I have said, I am an honest and trust worthy person, and I not not think it's fair that 1 person being a jerk should put a black mark on my profile for the future.

I thank you in advance for any assistance anyone is able to provide.

Edit: I'm sorry. I didn't realise quite how quickly this post would get Buried in the mountain or replies.
So to help is be seen, I have put some Titles in the Title bar. Please accept my apologies for this, But I need this to be seen for my Own benefit and the community as a whole. The less of people like that out there, the better.

I spoke to him only a few hours ago and he seemed like a nice guy. I shall ask him about this if/when he comes online. There's not much you can do at this point.. It's not Valve's problem since this was a code trade and SteamRep has stopped accepting scammer claims that pertain to the same. All I can say is that as a general rule, avoid trading codes with people who have low rep. My safe number is 100, but I usually don't get to go first since I have some rep. I'm sorry for your loss. There are honest traders out there too, so don't lose faith. Have a free bump.

Bump.
Also, all I can say is report him to the admins on Steamgifts.com (and not on this site).
They're both run by the same people.

I have opened a ticket with them, but I'm yet to hear back. :) Just playing the waiting game.
Thanks for the bump, I appreciate Anything to help people see this is happening, and hopefully show that people can't get away with it. :)
