KillerGasy - I traded my QUBE Key for his Killing Floor gift. A few days later, Steam banned me from trading and removed KF from my inventory. Steam refused to listen to my pleas for justice. I contacted KillerGasy and asked him to compensate me for my QUBE key. He said that he didn't owe me anything. He said that he knew exactly how Steam works and that i would get nothing for my QUBE key. He even laughed and mocked me for trusting him and threw in a smiley face.
Can I get proof that the trade went through? I need his steam profile as well.
Sorry, i dont have any proof. I dont know how to screen capture and all that stuff. I think KillerGasy is his Steam ID but he might have changed it. I listed him here to try to warn other traders. I was upset with losing my QUBE key, but i was shellshocked by Steam's unjust treatment. I was severely punished for being the victim. Its like being raped and then being told that it was your fault and then being locked up for 2 weeks.
Contact steam support and ask to escalate your ticket if they aren't being useful. To screen capture, hit print scrn on your keyboard, open up paint, hit ctrl+v, then save it and upload it to imgur.
Thanks for your friendly advice and help. This incident was a wakeup call for me regarding Steam. Their cold and heartless replies to my pleas for justice left a very bad taste in my mouth. Here I am, a loyal customer with over 100 games in my account and to be treated like a criminal. They even threatened to contact the police if they found another fraudulently purchased game in my account regardless of how it got there. I guess i'm responsible for how the other trader got their games. I will now buy my games elsewhere and use Steam only for Steamworks titles if i absolutely have to. Sorry for ranting, but i had to vent somewhere.

You could add to the second point something about differences between real profile [http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/xxxxxx (x = digits)] and changable ID [http://steamcommunity.com/id/yyyyyy (yyyy = custom url, letters and/or digits)] pointing out at most obvious difference between 'em which is profiles/id in those links and the easiest way to know what are you looking at.
Also maybe an advice to convert other contractor's profile using one of sites http://steamidfinder.com/ or http://steamidconverter.com/ before trading in case of being scammed which will help in reporting.
Trading for paypal is a grey area. It doesn't say you can do it in the rules, but admins still allow it from what i've sene.

He wanted to trade CS:GO for MW2 or L4D2. I contacted him, i offered MW2, he agreed to trade with me. Then i bought him MW2 as his required. We open the trade window, he accepted. I put my game in it. From that point, he went idle, didn't say anything and then cancelled it. I tried to trade again and found that he traded his game to another person. So the problem here is, he agreed to trade with me, we both reached an agreement, but then he traded with someone else. That was my last money and now it's gone.

Long story short: I got scammed, it was my fault, I didn't know much about trading. I should've found out that over *) +reps doesn't mean anything at all. Try to avoid this guy and his indentitities, which I've found by digging around for a couple hours.
Long story long: I've received a copy of CS:GO and was happy - I knew it was worth a lot. I went to Steamtrades.com and posted that I've a game to trade. This guy added me to his friends list and offered $80 worth of games. He would buy them, but since he hasn't bought a game for himself for a long time, he couldn't buy gifts to his Steam inventory, so I had to go first. I checked his profile, he had over 80 +reps, some even from reputable people, so I thought - "well, perhaps I can trust this guy, even though that'd violate my 'don't trust nobody' policy", and I agreed. Shortly after I traded him the copy of CS:GO, he blocked me. After I've passed him a message that I'm giving him 16 hours to come to his senses, he changed his profile link and avatar. Unfortunately for him, that isn't enough to hide your identity if the one who got scammed is motivated.

As one of them said "the trading community is rotting" - I guess it's turning into a casual F2P MMORPG community, one of those where nobody speaks English...

Actually he did attempt to scam more than 10 people, asked those who were in his friends list. Luckily they were traders and were aware of things like middlemen and Steamrep. They didn't have anything to prove that he would scam them, just strong assumptions. Nor do I think that any of them would've spend 8 hours looking for stuff about someone...

I was contacted on Steam by Yuzuki who offered to trade me his Steam CD-key of Batman: Arkham City or Deus Ex for my Bulletstorm. His story was that it came with his nVIDIA GTX 6850 graphics card and he did not want the game since he had it for X-box 360 but he did want Bulletstorm. I was actively making posts and searching the Steam Trading forums to trade my Bulletstorm away. I went first for the trade and he was polite but he told me to wait for the key then left abruptly (went offline, took me off list). I got scammed and feel pretty much at the bottom of the pits now.

He offered to trade a DOTA 2 key for $25 in Steam gifts. He made me go first because he had more rep. Then he gives me a key and immediately goes offline. The key was two characters short and invalid. He came back online and I tried to confront him. He then immediately added me to his ignore list. Stay away from him. He's a scammer!\
EDIT: Just changed his ID to SCD113^ (some kind of triangle character).

This one must pay some attention. He recently added me without any reason, could be a scammer i think. New profile without friends and 2 games only. His steam profile, steamrep profile. Was added him to my blocked list.
