Hi everybody.

During last few days steamtrades user framko97 offered keys for game Cities in Motion 2 for a cheap price and in exchange for different games. I know that a lot of users traded with him and me too. But today one user added me and asked to check this game in library, bcz his copy just disappeared. I've checked my library and I've seen that my copy is gone too :(

So probably those game keys were stolen or exploited or demo keys for few days of use or some other sort of bad keys.

I want to give "framko97" a chance to fix this situation, before giving negative rep and reporting to steamrep. So he should clear this situation in this topic and contact everyone, who've traded his CIM2 key for compensation.

Once more:
framko97 steamtrades profile
framko97 steam profile

Also he offered Sword of the Stars 2 key, it may be exploited too.

Screenshot of our trade conversation. Key was activated successfully, but now I don't have it in library anymore.

Please leave your feedbacks in this topic, if your game disappeared from library too.

UPDATE: ok, framko97 just deleted me from friendlist and turn his profile into private. I'll give him negative rep in steamtrades now. Also I've created a steamrep report about this. You can post there with your proofs too.

Also I think after we all leave him negative feedback in his steamtrades profile, we should report him to steamtrades support and his account should be suspended.

Same thing happened to me, I've heard about an online key generator for this game after trading with him.

framko97 has now set his profile to private and is refusing to discuss the issue.

all of us should report him to steamrep, steamtrades/gifts and the official steamsupport.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I've already reported him on Steamgifts a few hours ago. Since I traded key with him, I don' have enough solid evidence to support my case, but maybe many other guys do

1 decade ago
Permalink

Yeah sadly I've got one key from him and it is gone too... not good if he used exploited keys.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I've posted message in his steam profile with link to this topic, I hope he'll clear this situation. As I see, he played in Cities in Motion 2 too, but now he don't have it on his account, so maybe this is some sort of keys, that gives you access to game for a limited time. But I have bad feelings that those keys were bought with stolen credit card or something.

Yes yesterday I traded CiM2 and Sword of the Stars 2: Enhanced Edition keys with him and they both were deleted from my account after 12-14 hours... meh -.-

1 decade ago
Permalink

traded dont starve for it, after Iv seen a giveaway from him on steamgifts, not having this anymore

1 decade ago
Permalink

Yeah, same thing here.

He hasn't deleted/blocked anyone, will talk to him as well.

Not a big loss, but still, pain to deal with and I hope he rectifies this.

1 decade ago
Permalink

The keys was sold cheap in a site because of a mistake ASAIK. my game was vanished too.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Are you sure they were sold? I've seen keygens online, I think they were from there.

1 decade ago
Permalink

If they were sold cheap by mistake and now they're gone, I hope "framko97" will give us proofs, that the keys wasn't exploited and will give received games back.

1 decade ago
Permalink

This is the proof he gave me.
And this is the site.

1 decade ago
Permalink

First link seems to be broken, it says: "403 - Forbidden"?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Wierd, for me it is working.

1 decade ago
Permalink

URL for proof is incorrect. Anyway everybody waits for comments from him. If he won't handle this situation, I'm sure he'll be banned here, reported to steamrep and steam as scammer.

1 decade ago
Permalink

don't forget SG, he created tons of cim2 giveaways there and some sots too. Got a shit load of cv from them to boot.

1 decade ago
Permalink

My CIM2 disappeared too (won on SG from him), i was so happy for winning that game

1 decade ago
Permalink

same thing happened to me. i traded a Don't Starve for a CiM2 key and it is now gone from my library.

1 decade ago

  • What can be said - greed is the only reason why people got caught with keys so easily. Willingness to earn much fast blinds.

  • Anyway, bad keys trading is not allowed as well so framko97 should do something about it as well. So bump^^

1 decade ago
Permalink

Yeah, any trading (keys or gifts) is risky. It was suspicious trade, but I've traded not very valuable games, so I won't cry if I'll loose them. I wouldn't do those trade if from my side something valuable was involved. Anyway, it's still look like scam and it will be reported as scam, if framco97 won't handle this in nearest future.

1 decade ago
Permalink

My post was not intended to accuse anyone but to notice that warm feeling of easy money usually ends up nowhere. So first of all people should be reasonable and it will save them a decent sum of money on stupid losses. But anyone can get into bad trade - no big deal really. And, ofc bad trading manners, including not stating that keys might dissapear/guest passes etc, should be reported so I bump this thread once more.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Thanks for bumping :)

1 decade ago

Key trading is dangerous. Period.

1 decade ago
Permalink

The same can happen with gifts, you can't be sure that gift, which you've got in trade, wasn't bought from stolen credit card or from hijacked account. But trading keys (especially for new games, not for bundle ones) is more dangerous, I'm agreed.

Gift trading is dangerous. Period.
Never got fraudulently purchased? =)

Another bump!

EDIT: was initially to @xamtheking

1 decade ago
Permalink

Summary: any trading is dangerous, why we all are doing this? :-)

Thanks for another bump.

framko97, where are you? We all waiting ;)

1 decade ago
Permalink

Because we earn money. It is natural to have some level of risk on income, isn't it? I wish it is a day when there will be derivatives on steam gifts.. and better incoming money check on steam.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I wish that one day steam will have rational and faster support, which can really helps and situations, like what happens with MoneyHypeMike or Overslop, won't happens with anyone else.

1 decade ago
Permalink

What happened?

1 decade ago
Permalink

You can find info at steamtrades or steamgifts. In 2 words: they are trustable traders with a lot of rep and years in steam. But they was involved in trade with hijacked account (who can really know that your partner in trade is not the real one), so they lost items and got permanent trade ban. MoneyHypeMike posted screenshots of history of his discussion with steam support, it's epic.

1 decade ago
Permalink

That is appalling customer service.
That type of thing should be reported to trading standards or its US equal.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Thanks for you answer...i have no words to comment that

1 decade ago
Permalink

lovely, both cim2 and sots2 gone :/

1 decade ago
Permalink

He was not the only user trading away CiM2 keys. Example here.

I traded with someone else for CiM2 after we had a lengthy discussion (outside of forum) on how the key is likely illegitimate. I too can attest that wherever the CiM2 keys were coming from, it has disappeared from my Library. (Edit: I imagine the source was in fact framko97, as in both instances above, his SteamTrades rep shows positive reviews by both of these users.)

1 decade ago
Permalink

ok, framko97 just deleted me from friendlist and turn his profile into private. I'll give hiom negative rep ion steamtrades now. Also I want to create report on steamrep about this, but I don't have any experince in this. Someone, who was scammed too, can create a correct report at steamrep?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Negative rep here posted. Still need help with steamrep report.

1 decade ago
Permalink

OK, the guy just deleted me from his friends list too. Never reported someone, so no exp here too...

1 decade ago
Permalink

making a report thread on steamrep is fairly easy, just use the format they use.

use these two accepted reports as a template.

http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198076318807-phishing.27736/

link the submission in this thread and we will all endorse it and link to evidence.

Thanks, I've created report, I hope I've done everything right.

1 decade ago
Permalink

You have some typos, Kpaxxx. Just a friendly grammar nazi forumer.

1 decade ago
Permalink

English is not my strong side :) Correct me and I'll edit my post there.

EDIT. Ouch, I can't edit steamrep post anymore. Well, it will be my shame forever :)

1 decade ago
Permalink

It looks like the link to your conversation (http://i38.tinypic.com/2yphi75.png) is actually linking to your friends list image (http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/6163/capturewxx.png) :(

1 decade ago
Permalink

Yes, my bad. I've already attached correct image.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Okay good catch! :)

1 decade ago
Permalink

Also your typos are "hiom" instead of "him" and stuff like that

1 decade ago
Permalink

As I said, this will be my shame forever, bcz post at steamrep can be edited only during 2 minutes after posting. So this train is gone :(

1 decade ago
Permalink

I mean in your post above....lulz. In the SG post not SteamRep

1 decade ago
Permalink

Ah lol now I look my library and my game gone too....
And I was ask him yesterday ;
ME: Where did you find all this keys :)
framko97: Do not I found, were purchased.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Traded Dead Island GOTY for CiM2 and now it's gone from my library. I don't care that much about my copy of DI but it's so sad that idiots like this exists...

1 decade ago
Permalink

Same here, lost a JC2. But still rage

1 decade ago
Permalink

I got scammed too, traded Spore Complete Pack for CiM2 and Sword of the Stars 2: Enhanced Edition keys.

1 decade ago
Permalink

everyone, please add evidence to the steamrep post and also report the guy to steam support.

steamrep post: http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/scammer-76561198048954479.28271/

evidence can include screenshots of your inventory history showing you sent him the items, or a screenshot of your chatlog you had with the person, or of the written offer he wrote on steamtrades.

+1 Done

1 decade ago

Bump, done.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Bump

I almost traded with this person.. glad i had a second guess about it

1 decade ago
Permalink

Make sure to post individual reports, I've posted a couple times on Steam rep now and they want every person to create their own report, not just add to other reports, although feel free to add to others but be sure to post your own. If they see a whole bunch of reports he will get marked much more quickly.

1 decade ago
Permalink

same here, i traded with him just a day before

1 decade ago
Permalink

feel sorry for you guys! Good luck in this case and free bump!

1 decade ago
Permalink

cheers

1 decade ago
Permalink

Well, he's suspended on ST&SG but not yet on steam itself.
E: I wish steamrep would have an least make a mark/notification on his profile: http://forums.steamrep.com/threads/76561198048954479-tu-vieja.19994/ We would have stayed further away if so.

I have traded CiM2 key with steam profile and it was deleted from my library too. steamtrades profile

1 decade ago
Permalink

yeah well perhaps the guy didn't know they were exploited or that they will be deleted. Give him a break you normally shouldn't even accept keys , ran into people that traded demos for 1 week -2 weeks also. it's just about luck .

1 decade ago
Permalink

Sorry, but first part of your post is just BS! If this would be the case, this "guy" wouldn't immediately and systematically delete those who gave him legit games for his fcking keys. He is a scammer and does not deserve to be taken under anybody's wings. Glad to see that valve kicked him from trading.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Yeah, when I've posted on his steam profile warning about this situation, we were still in friendlist and my games were still in his inventory. He could just give them back and say "sorry", but instead he deleted me from friends and make his profile private. He's definately scammer and deserves any ban or suspesion, which he got.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Well, I bump this topic just to ask if you guys finally figured out where did the keys come from? Where they temporary keys or demo keys or something? Did he buy them, and then asked for a chargeback? Any theories? :D

1 decade ago
Permalink

Great, just found out that out too. Did any of you get an email, that the game got removed? I didn't
Just found it out when i suddenly saw a Cities in Motion 2 Giveaway at Steamgifts :/
