I was warned about another person, this guy obviously has multiple accounts in hindsight. Received offers from three different people with Steam Keys even though I said only giftable copies. First time trader, last time scammed.

This is why we can't have nice things.
Here's his ST account profile

I closed the convo so I don't have this portion of 'evidence;' however, I thought I should mention this bit. This guy is the first one who contacted me. Didn't have a ST account with +rep so I ignored him. Immediately afterwards, I got another offer from Stonee. He had rep, but in hindsight it seems like he has a fudged account.

I guess we have to get scammed at least once on this website before we learn something.

Yeah looks like he has a history of this...sorry to hear you got scammed. I avoided a potential scam today (for my copy of civ 5 gold as a matter of fact) which I'm currently trying to trade. Always check www.steamrep.com before engaging in trades, especially with game keys.

When you are trading and the person you are trading with has a key. You Make him give the key first then try to activate then screen shot that it activated, and was the version discussed. Then you trade the tradable. Never trade a tradable first the person who has a key gives the key first. If they are unwilling to follow and obvious good code of conduct I suggest you cancel the deal.

Unless they are a high rep trader with no history of a trade going bad. The guy he traded with already had 3 unsuccessful trades (despite his 46 successful ones). I always read the negative review of a profile to know what to expect if all goes wrong.
