Hi people.

I was careless and my account has been hijacked.

Owner of my Steam-Account is now simplex787@mail.ru, so please be careful If "I" talk to you or want to trade with you.

I already contacted the Steam-support. I hope this guy cant buy games with my VISA now. Does anyone have experiences with that?

Greetings.

  1. Bump
  2. Get in contact with VISA to get your card locked for Steam purchases. Not sure if Steam locks purchasing when the e-mail is changed, but better contact VISA
  3. Good luck

Thanks for bumping.

The lucky thing is, that I still can access my account via webclient, I was logged in at this moment.

I just cant log in with the Steam client. Its a bad thing that I cant change my email-adress this way.
But I can see that there are for some reason no billinginfos saved (thank god...) and I can control and check If something was bought with my account.
It could be worse. If I just get my account back and NEVER BE SO CARELESS AGAIN...

change password will stop trading for 5 days until you got a reply from lazy steam support + contact visa support too as advised

Do you have a source for the part with trading?

Does that mean trading with other users and/or buying and selling at the marketplace and shop?

It's true. It happened to me when I changed my password.

Don't worry, steam removes all payment data when the e-mail address gets changed.

Oh btw, the guy who lured me on a website that stole my account:

http://www.steamtrades.com/user/rakkko

| steamname: rin

| steamID32: STEAM_0:0:59320909

| steamID64: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198078907546

| customURL:

| steamrep: http://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198078907546

I guess his account was stolen too, so be careful.

I just phoned with my creditcard-serviceline and there is nothing I have to worry about. Also nothing has happened until now.
Since my inventory is emty and I have no money on my steamwallet, It seems I just have to wait for steam.

I received a similar message from you on steam, anyone know how to tell the difference between a phishing site and real one. They both have the same "sign in to steam" button and it gets confusing.

Thanks for your bumbs guys.

Sadly, Steam hasnt responded yet. Does anyone know how long this could take?
Also, what If I get VAC-banned? Could this get removed if it is proven that I was not in posession of my account?

I posted the whole program by now. Billinginfos, Gamekeys I used on my account, a photo oh the Game RAGE with visible Game-Key, even my IP and the IP of the hijacker.

So I guess I have done what I can. Its now about 20 hours since I created my ticket yesterday.

Phishing site is blocked now by hosting provided (I dropped them a letter).
As we know, he's email is simplex787@mail.ru, probably created just for that case, because info is filled with random text (I checked it on email provider site), and I'm pretty sure it's angry russian schoolboy.
He's IP is 176.214.67.209, location is Russia, Yaroslavl. Feel free to contact me, if you have some other info or/if you are a victim.
