Possible Scammer?

Hey people
Just got done dealing with someone offering a TF2 unusual or choice of 2 bills hat for a bunch of indie games. I checked the steamrep, but everything looks good there.
My suspicion, is just who in there right mind would trade an unusual for cheap indie games?
When chatting, the responds was always fast, but when I said that they need to pay first, then the chatting stopped...any suggestions, or am i just being paranoid of a deal that sounds too good to be true?
