It was an obvious scam. He is willing to give you a $30+ game for a game that was bought for a lot less.
Sorry you got scammed, hope you don't get hit by another dick in the future. Just make sure you check all the details before you trade a key. Sorry for your bad luck.
I got scammed once, but it was just a indie bundle key, right when I started trading. I still get attempted scams, but I see right through them now. They always give up after I ask for all the proof before we trade a key for gift. Gifts can even be taken away by steam if the scammer buys a game with a stolen credit card.
If you traded or gifted the game through steam window contact steam support to get your game back. I have lost a few games thru scammers but always get them back. Games I have lost and gotten back are Sleeping Dogs, Max Payne 3 and Fable III.
Yeah but they won't do jack about keys though. Only steam gifts, and typically it will only be for trading gift for gift through the trade window. I heard that if you trade gift for an invalid key without both using the trade window, they won't do anything for you.
True steam sadly can't do nothing about keys but I was just referring to tradables only since in this case the krokos1 had a tradable sleeping dogs.

Ohh no I didn't show any photo I just said what happened in detail with the scammer and asked to give the games back. You just simply need to say what happened and that you wish to get the game back. So scammer loses and you get your game back.
i sent them all the proofs...
i don't really care about the game...

as you can see in the picture i gave him sleeping dogs (steamgift) he gave me steamkey dishonored (duplicate dota instead)..
and he just disapeared..
