He also copied me last week. I asked the guy that gave me the first +rep to edit the comment and write some additional info

He tried to scam me out of Rocket League using CaptainDeadman's profile... I always check everything and noticed it didnt match... He immediately went offline... I sent in two reports to Steam about him...
Ive been scammed by guys like him before I knew what I was doing on this site so I went ahead and also reported him for you. :)

That's just pathetic mate. Yesterday he tried to scam me and after I refused to give him my game first, he said that I'm poor "gypsy" from Poland that only can steal stuff. LMAO

I had one too, but I just contacted the trader and proved it wasn't me who scammed them. A pain in the ass, but worth a try. I'm confused as to why Steam hasn't pulled the plug on this guy yet, he's gotta have at least 30 flags by now.
How is it that people STILL aren't using Enhanced Steam??? It gives a link to the CORRECT SteamGifts profile so they can see that they're trading with a scammer

How is this guy not Trade Banned by now. I personally have flagged his profile to Steam at least 10 times a day hoping they will finally do something. What does it take for Steam Support to get their s**t together. This guy is scamming the hell out of people and Steam does nothing. I really feel bad for the people he is scamming and something needs to be done ASAP.
This is exactly how I feel. Perhaps Steam doesn't put much thought into the trading community? I know for a fact this guy has a ton of flags from many separate users, so Valve's security team are either ignoring them or are incompetent.

Another user reported to me that he lost about $200 worth of inventory. I also submitted a report to Valve.

Someone on my friends list just informed me that this guy just changed all his info to match mine. You'll notice his level, badges, and game count are all wildly different than mine though. Just be on the alert if trading with this guy! I've already reported him to Steam, feel free to do the same.

UPDATE #5 This scammer has again changed his identity; this time he's impersonating "Absorbed". Since his profile is still private, and with the frequency of how fast he is changing identities, I think the community is getting to him. Keep vigilant and inform the real Absorbed if possible!
